Scottie Scheffler’s recent dominance on the PGA TOUR shows no signs of slowing down, as the world’s top-ranked player secured another impressive victory at the RBC Heritage. Overcoming the potential distraction of his wife’s impending due date, Scheffler delivered a flawless, 8-under 63 in the third round to take a commanding lead heading into the final round.

Despite the pressure, Scheffler remained unfazed, carding a steady 68 on Monday to clinch a three-stroke triumph over Sahith Theegala. This marks Scheffler’s fourth victory in his last five starts, further solidifying his status as one of the most formidable players on tour.

“Scheffler’s pre-tournament odds of +400 at BetMGM hinted at the possibility of a withdrawal or disruption due to his wife’s pregnancy, but the 26-year-old proved his resilience once again.”

He led the field in both Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee and Strokes Gained: Approach-the-Green, showcasing the exceptional ball-striking that has become his trademark.

With this victory, Scheffler collects 700 FedExCup points and a staggering $3.6 million in earnings. He has now won two of the PGA TOUR’s Signature Events, the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the RBC Heritage, in addition to successfully defending his title at THE PLAYERS Championship and claiming his second Masters triumph.

Theegala, who was a longshot at +3300 to win the RBC Heritage, put forth an impressive performance to finish runner-up, his second solo second-place finish in the past three events. Patrick Cantlay and Wyndham Clark shared third place, a further stroke back.

  • The PGA TOUR now turns its attention to the Wells Fargo Championship, the next Signature Event on the calendar, set to take place from May 9-12.
