April 18, 2023 – The Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the lone two-man team event on the PGA TOUR schedule, is set to tee off this week, drawing the game’s top players to the Crescent City. With five of the top 15 players in the Official World Golf Ranking headlining the field, golf enthusiasts are in for an exciting tournament.
This year marks the seventh installment of the event as a team competition, with players competing in Four-ball (best ball) format for the first and third rounds, and Foursomes (alternate shot) for the second and fourth rounds. The diverse lineup features Presidents Cup pairs, Ryder Cup heroes, twins, fan favorites, and college teammates, all joining forces to vie for the title.
The Zurich Classic serves as the second of three events to earn points towards the Aon Swing 5 and Aon Next 10, as players inch closer to the next Signature Event on the PGA TOUR calendar – the Wells Fargo Championship.
