Golfers Return to the Course for Second Round at WGC Dell Match Play 2023
Golfers are back on the course to complete their first rounds at the 2023 WGC Dell Match Play event.
Lee Hodges, Adrian Meronk, and Grayson Murray will be the first trio to tee off for their second-round action at 1 pm BST.
Bryson DeChambeau currently leads the tournament at 7-under par after his opening-round 65. Close behind him are Scottie Scheffler at 6-under, and a group of players including Danny Willett, Max Homa, Ryan Fox, Cameron Davis, and Tyrrell Hatton sitting at 3-under or better.
Other notable names within striking distance include Nicolai Hojgaard at 5-under through 16 holes, Max Homa at 4-under through 13, and a group of players including Patrick Reed, Matthieu Pavon, Ludvig Aberg, and Tommy Fleetwood at 2-under.
“With the inclement weather on Thursday causing a delayed start, players can look forward to mostly sunny and dry conditions for their second rounds on Friday.”
While it will remain breezy, with winds out of the west at 15-20 mph and gusts up to 30 mph, the improved forecast should allow for better scoring opportunities.
As the world’s top golfers continue their quest for the WGC Dell Match Play title, all eyes will be on Bryson DeChambeau to see if he can maintain his hot start and potentially conquer the challenges of the renowned Austin Country Club layout.
