Tiger Woods’ 100th Masters Round: Son’s Guidance and Resilience Shine
Experience Tiger Woods’ journey through his 100th round at the Masters, where resilience, determination, and family guidance played a crucial role in overcoming challenges and showcasing his legendary spirit.
Golf legend Tiger Woods enlisted the help of his son Charlie before carding a resilient 77 in his 100th round at the Masters tournament. The five-time champion was seen on the practice range at Augusta National, with Charlie seemingly offering some swing advice, which Woods may have welcomed following a demoralizing third-round score of 82 – his worst ever at the Masters.
Despite the challenging start, Woods showed his trademark determination, starting the day with a powerful 360-yard drive on the par-five second hole, leading to a straightforward birdie. However, he soon encountered difficulties, bogeying the third and then recording a triple-bogey seven on the fifth after a wild drive into the trees.
Undeterred, Woods covered the back nine in 37, with eight pars and a single bogey on the 15th. While his round was five shots worse than playing partner and amateur Neal Shipley, Woods remained positive, stating, “It was a good week all around.” He acknowledged the difficulty of the course, noting, “It doesn’t take much to get out of position here. Unfortunately, I got out of position a lot yesterday and a couple times today.“
With the final pairing of Scottie Scheffler and Collin Morikawa yet to tee off, Woods finished his round an hour earlier, sitting well off the lead. Fellow Americans Max Homa and Bryson DeChambeau, as well as Sweden’s Ludvig Aberg, were among the top contenders heading into the final day of the prestigious tournament.
