This marks the fifth of eight Signature Events on the PGA TOUR calendar this season. And with 54 of the competitors having teed it up at the first major just last week, they’ll look to leave the fatigue of that effort in the rearview mirror.
Harbour Town, the annual post-Masters destination, offers a distinct contrast to the rigors of Augusta National. The par-71 layout in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina stretches to a modest 7,213 yards, but its small, tree-lined greens and strategic shot-making demands make it a true test of precision. Drivers will often be left in the bag, as accuracy off the tee takes precedence over sheer power.
The field will be chasing 700 FedExCup points and a $3.6 million prize purse, with the winner earning a sizeable boost in their season-long standings. And with no cut this week, all 69 players will have four full rounds to find their form and potentially bounce back from any Masters disappointments.
