The golfing spotlight has shifted about 150 miles east from Augusta, Georgia, to Hilton Head, South Carolina, as the PGA TOUR prepares for the next Signature Event – the RBC Heritage. Coming fresh off the grueling conditions at Augusta National Golf Club, the world’s best players are set to experience the low-country charm and tranquility of Harbour Town Golf Links.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is among the headliners committed to the RBC Heritage. Scheffler, who has been dominant this season with three victories and one runner-up finish, made his Harbour Town debut last year, finishing T11. However, his participation remains contingent on his wife Meredith’s pregnancy, as he has stated he would prioritize being with her in the event of her going into labor.

Other notable names in the field include:

Matt Fitzpatrick is seeking to become the first golfer to win back-to-back RBC Heritage titles since Boo Weekley in 2007-08. Jordan Spieth will be looking to build on his playoff loss last year and playoff victory the season prior, while Justin Thomas will also tee it up after a missed cut at the Masters.

The course itself, the iconic Pete Dye/Jack Nicklaus design, has been slightly lengthened for the 2024 season. As always, a premium will be placed on ball-striking, with the tight fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and undulating greens posing a stern test for the players. Two of the last three winners at Harbour Town were first in Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green, emphasizing the importance of precision off the tee and with approach shots.

Fans will have ample opportunities to follow the action, with coverage airing on Golf Channel and CBS throughout the weekend. The RBC Heritage marks the fifth Signature Event of the PGA TOUR season, with the Wells Fargo Championship set to be the next on the schedule.

As the golfers shift their focus from the Masters to the RBC Heritage, the stage is set for an exciting and intriguing tournament on the iconic Harbour Town Golf Links.
