“I was not looking at the scores at all, but I knew it was not easy,” Norgaard said. “I was just in every shot, and I think that’s why I played so well today. I had no doubt I was going to make that final putt, and that was very nice.”
Unfazed by the late charge, Norgaard responded superbly, birdieing the 18th hole to finish the day at 16-under par. The Dane, who was part of a six-way tie for the lead after 54 holes at last year’s British Masters before finishing seventh, is eager to convert this commanding position into his maiden victory on the DP World Tour.
