As the final round of the coveted Masters Tournament tees off, world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler maintains a slim lead over an accomplished field, poised to claim his second green jacket in as many years. However, several seasoned contenders stand ready to make a charge and potentially spoil Scheffler’s title defense.
Scheffler entered Sunday’s finale at 7-under-par, holding a one-stroke edge over two-time major champion Collin Morikawa. The penultimate pairing features Max Homa and Ludvig Åberg, both seeking their maiden major triumph, sitting two and three shots back, respectively.
In the early stages of the round, Homa seized the momentum with a birdie at the par-5 second hole, closing the gap to just one stroke behind Scheffler’s lead.
Elsewhere, several players made notable moves, including J.T. Poston, who carded a 2-under 70 highlighted by a flourish of birdies on the back nine.
Five-time Masters champion Tiger Woods also made his mark, completing his 100th career round at Augusta National.
