Bryson DeChambeau carded a remarkable seven-under-par 65 on the opening day of the Masters, just two shots shy of his self-proclaimed “par 67” for Augusta National. World number one Scottie Scheffler, the reigning Masters champion, made an ominous start to his title defense, posting a bogey-free 66 to trail DeChambeau by a single shot.
